BUILT BETWEEN SORTIES
Made by a fighter pilot.
Wyatt Targets is a family-owned American company run by cousins Lincoln and Caleb. Caleb is an active-duty Air Force fighter pilot: he flew the F-15C and now trains the next generation of F-35 pilots. That's where the winged W in our logo comes from, and why every plate gets a preflight-style inspection before it ships. We make one thing: half-inch AR500 steel we'd shoot ourselves.
Wyatt Targets is a private family business, not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Air Force or the Department of Defense.
Why 1/2″ AR500 Beats the 3/8″ Everyone Else Sells
- Longer service life. A third more steel behind every hit spreads the impact energy, so the plate resists the pitting and cratering that retire thinner targets.
- Louder ring, cleaner feedback. You'll hear the hit from way out. Half-inch steel rings deep and the sound carries, so you know you connected without walking downrange.
- Mill-certified AR500. Real certified plate from the mill, not mystery steel with a spray-painted name.
- Deburred and finished by hand in an American fab shop — ready to hang out of the box.
- Built to a preflight standard. Co-owner Caleb is an active-duty Air Force fighter pilot: he flew the F-15C and now trains F-35 pilots. In his job, a missed checklist item is the difference between routine and wreckage, so every plate gets the same treatment a jet gets before it flies: inspected and verified before it ships.
